报告摘要：Three different form of energy might be used as earthquake precursors for environmental protection against seismicity. At the tectonic scale, Acoustic Emission (AE) prevails, as well as Electro-Magnetic Emission (EME) at the meso-scales, and Neutron Emission (NE) at the nano-scale. TeraHertz pressure waves are in fact produced at the last extremely small scale. Fracture experiments on natural rocks have recently demonstrated that these high-frequency waves are able to induce nuclear fission reactions with NE. Very important applications to earthquake precursors can be proposed.

报告人简介：Alberto Carpinteri 意大利都灵理工大学教授、汕头大学访问教授，欧洲科学院院士、欧洲科学与艺术院院士、欧洲人文和自然科学院院士、国际工程院院士、都灵科学院院士、美国土木工程师协会(ASCE)会士、国际断裂学会(ICF)名誉会士、欧洲科学院工程部主任、欧洲结构安全协会(ESIS)会士、国际混凝土和混凝土结构断裂力学协会(IA-FraMCoS)会士。Alberto教授主要从事于有关断裂力学、热弹性、地震结构、钢筋混凝土结构、结构监测、接触力学、多层与功能材料、纳米材料、电磁与中子辐射、高层建筑、大分子和蛋白质结构动力学等相关领域。发表400多篇文章，第一作者发表国际学术专著四部，Scopus引用10000余次。
